To celebrate Halloween, students first learned about different ways people in the USA celebrate this holiday. Some traditions include carving jack-o-lanterns, going trick-or-treating,wearing funny costumes and throwing parties with Halloween themed games and food.

Afterwards, students were introduced to Halloween vocabulary that they would later use in the song,"13 Nights of Halloween". This song is sung in tune of the popular Christmas song " 12  Days of Christmas"

Once students were familiar with the Halloweeen version, they performed "13 Nights of Halloween" for their classmates using numbered folders. As each number was sung, students opened a different folder to show pictures of what they received in their treat bags for the 13 nights of Halloween.
They enjoyed surprising their classmates with the spooky pictures as they opened each numbered folder while singing the song.

At the end students decorated some book marks with Halloween jokes.
